Marco Polo Sheep:
1) Hunt is 8 days of hunting (12 day program in Kyrgyzstan) and (15 day program in Tajikistan)
2) All hunting licenses and fees included; Camp Staff tips are additional.
3) Dates: anytime between Feb. 1 and 29th, 2012
4) CITES application with USFWS: Cost is $100 (there are still 2012 permits available)
5) Non-Hunters can come along for a small fee (approx. $2500)
6) Accommodations: In Bishkek(Kyrgyzstan) or Dushanbe (Tajikistan): Hotel at $100-200/night; in Hunting area, there is a Base Camp w/heated buildings and if spiking out, backpack style tents.
7) This is a Marco Polo (subspecies is the Hume Argali) from Kyrgyzstan or a true Marco Polo from Tajikistan; Ibex (Mid-Asian) can be added to either hunt.
8) Retail Value: $27,500 (Kyrgyzstan Polo); $5,000 Kyrgyzstan Ibex; $39,000 Tajikistan Polo. $4,000 Tajik Ibex or both for $42,000.
9) Additional information: This is a demanding hunt: A real hunt for real hunters; physical fitness will help with hunter enjoyment and success. Elevations range from 10,000-13,000’ in Kyrgyzstan and 12,000-16,000’ in Tajikistan. Temperatures are below freezing and sometimes below 0; Extensive horseback riding is required in Kyrgyzstan and strong hiking is required is in Tajikistan. Hunters need to be proficient in shooting 300-500 yards.
10) Hunters take trophies home with them as checked luggage or they can be shipped via DHL and cleared, using a wildlife broker.
11) If hunter desires to have a Western/English speaking guide, this can be arranged for an additional price.
Ibex Hunting
1) Hunt is 7-8 days (11 day program)
2) Hunts in Tajikistan or Kyrgyzstan. Normal price is $8,000.
3) Dates: anytime between Feb. 1 and 29th, 2012
4) No CITES required
5) Non-Hunters are the same.
6) Accommodations are the same.
7) Hunters take trophies with them.
