North Mountain Adventures offers Black bear hunts in a dense population area that consistently produces mature bears.

The lush forests, agricultural fields and good supply of big game provide plenty of feed for the bears making this an ideal habitat.

Most bear hunts are located on private land North and East of Riding Mountain National Park. You will be hunting out of 10-16′ high ladder stands placed within 30 yards of the bait. Stands will be placed accordingly to accommodate an archery or rifle hunt. Ground blinds are available if climbing a ladder stand presents an obstacle. Hunters will be transported directly to and from the stands by 4×4 pickup or ATV.

The hunt is five days long, and you should arrive the day before.  We can visit, eat a delicious meal prepared by my wife Melanie, and discuss shot placement and bear size.  Then, you can shoot your weapon. On the hunt day, we’ll eat around noon to 1 p.m., then head out around 3:30 p.m. and sit until dark. We’ll return and hopefully skin the bear, but always have another meal prepared for our return.  The cabins are located in the yard and have WiFi. Lodging and meals are included, with no hidden fees.

Fall Bear available starting August 15th to the 30th.
