Begun as a hobby in 2001 with 100 ring-necked pheasants, Bird’s Eye View Pheasant Farm and Hunting Preserve is in its 21st year as a registered game farm under the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources.  With 3 great properties to choose from, we can accommodate small or large groups.
We have expanded our list of birds to include:

1. Ring-Necked Pheasants
2. Chukar Partridges
3. Bob-White Quail (available with 2 weeks advance notice).

Bird’s Eye View Pheasant Farm and Hunting Preserve is just a 90 minute drive from downtown Toronto.  Located in the beautiful hills of Northumberland County just east of Cobourg, Ontario, you will enjoy the scenic view as you head into this picturesque part of eastern Ontario.

While our home base is located just a few kilometres north of Cobourg, our hunting preserve is located north of Highway 401 at Colborne, Ontario – home of the “Big Apple”.

Our clients are met at the public “carpool” lot located immediately off  the eastbound ramp on the south side of the 401 at the 401/County Road 25 (Exit Number 497) at Colborne.  From there, it is just a short 5 minute drive to the hunting preserve.

We are open from September 1st until mid-April for pheasants and now are able to hunt chukars and shoot skeets year-round.

We have expanded our Colborne game farm preserve with an additional 270 acres for a total of 610 acres.

New for Fall 2023, our Norwood property of 102 acres located minutes west of Norwood, ON.

Clients are welcome to bring their own hunting dog(s) or book one of our guides/dogs depending on availability.
