A Maine Black Bear is a wily creature with eyesight as good as yours and a sense of smell seven times stronger than that of a bloodhound. Generally a reclusive animal, a bear will log many extra hours foraging in the fall. Their voracious appetite, caused by the annual change in metabolism and coinciding with our fall hunting season, is a boon for a hunter. Male Black bears weigh 120-600 lbs in the fall. Grand Lake Hunt will set the stage for your trophy bear hunt, the closing act is up to you.

Bison Hunting

If “biggest and baddest” is your thing, you can’t get more monumental than an American Bison. These majestic creatures can tip the scale at 2000 lbs. Their bulky appearance deceptively provides little indication of their ability to run 35 mph and jump 5 feet. Harvesting such a creature is a testament to bravery and prowess and gives a nod to practicality by supplying you with a freezer full of nutrient-dense protein.  Here at Grand Lake Hunt, you have the opportunity to match your skill and wits with these living pieces of American Cultural History

Red Stag:

Red Deer are well known for their beautiful coats, but it is impossible to assign a single color. Shades of reds, browns, and greys can be seen helping them blend in to the woods that is their natural habitat. Stags can weigh 600 lbs and females, called hinds, generally weigh up to 300 lbs. Red Stags carry their impressive antlers with a pride that is entirely justified. A 12-point trophy is nothing to hang your head over, but the game does not stop at 12 points. Some Red Stags grow 40+ points. Let the games begin at Grand Lake Hunt. How many points will your trophy have?
